and close on 10/31 at 12am CT.
Many of the significant advances in condensed matter physics over the past decades have been enabled by employing the conceptual framework of quantum field theory in areas of Condensed Matter Physics of high experimental relevance, such as the fractional quantum Hall effect, unconventional superconductivity, electronic liquid crystals, topological phases of matter and gauge theory, quantum criticality, and quantum spin liquids.
As a celebration of Eduardo Fradkin’s 75th birthday, who pioneered many of these ideas, the 2.5-day conference "New Directions in Condensed Matter Physics" will bring together renowned experts on these topics to discuss the recent advances and the new directions in this vibrant and ever expanding field.
