How to find us
Physical Location
ICMT is located on the second, third, and fourth floors of the Engineering Sciences Building (ESB) on the Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois. ESB is at the Southeast corner of the intersection of Springfield and Goodwin, 1101 West Springfield Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. (NOTE: This is NOT the mailing address.)
Directions
Springfield Avenue is a two-way road that runs east-west across Champaign and Urbana. The closest main intersection is Lincoln Avenue and Springfield. Use the Google map above to navigate to Urbana, navigate around town, and navigate the campus.
Parking
Metered parking is available on the street. Reserved parking may be available in the lot behind the building, upon request. The Illini Union and the Hampton Inn are a short walk away, so hotel guests may prefer to leave their cars there. The parking lot behind the building is a University lot that is available for free parking ONLY outside of regular office hours, which means any time except 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Computing Resources
Walk up computers
The Illini Union and Grainger Engineering Library have walk up computers available on the Illinois network. Grainger is one block west of ESB and the Illini Union is two blocks west of Loomis Lab.
Access
Wireless is available in public places in Loomis, MRL, and ESB. More detailed information is available for Loomis, MRL, and ESB, the Illini Union, and all other campus buildings. Public Wireless
Only a few locations have public wireless; they include Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (one block south of Loomis) and Willard Airport.
Troubleshooting
Technology Services has a help desk, and the Physics Department has a help ticket system.
