Biography

My area of research is theoretical condensed matter physics, with a focus on aspects of correlated quantum matter. My graduate work tended to focus on quantum magnetism, specifically systems exhibiting exactly solvable spin-liquid ground states. Nevertheless I maintain in a broad interest in many areas of condensed matter physics where there is interesting interplay between two or more emergent themes, namely quantum entanglement, topological matter, quantum interactions and disorder. In addition I am keenly interested in interpreting experiments at the mesoscale. At the ICMT I continue to work in the areas of topological spin-liquids, deconfined quantum phases, superconducting proximity effects in the quasiclassical formalism, quantum entanglement of quantum magnets and interacting topological Hubbard models.
